Seared Pork Chops

- Two thick bone in pork chops
- salt, pepper, garlic powder or other seasonings of your choice to taste.
- butter
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in a cast iron skillet.
- Season the pork chops, and brown both sides well in the skillet
- Place skillet in the oven to finish cooking. It takes about 30 minutes to finish.
- If using a meat thermometer cook to 145 degrees.
