Now that you have conquered the dragon (made your own pasta noodles), you need a really good Alfredo sauce to pour over those luscious noodles.
The first ingredient you need is 1/4 lb. of butter, that is 1 whole stick of real butter, or 1/2 cup of butter
Don’t even try to use one of the other substitutes for butter, use the REAL STUFF!
Melt this stick of butter over medium heat.
Then add 2 tablespoons of cream cheese to the skillet, Real cream cheese
and whisk until the cream cheese is melted.
Next add 1 cup of Heavy Cream, that thick luscious part of the milk
Now season your sauce with a bit of garlic powder, salt and fresh ground cracked black pepper. Bring this to a good simmer then remove from heat and add 3/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese. You can use the kind out of the green shaker from the grocery store, the kind we all have in our refrigerator, but it will be so much more creamier if you buy a chunk of parmesan cheese and grate your own.
That’s it! That is all there is to it. Very few ingredients and easy to make, but nothing beats a really good creamy alfredo sauce, right?
